David A. Wheeler works at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). He is an expert in evaluating and improving security practices for open-source software. Dr. Wheeler spearheaded the recently released CII Best Practices badges as part of the Linux Foundation’s program to improve the quality and security of open-source software.
